off-topic Do you think that people are good?

For threads discussing subjects unrelated to the main forum topics.
Humans are shit. If it were up to me, I'd make all females sterile. Let us die out, and return the world to nature as it had been for millions of years before us.
Naaah, I completely disagree with you. You might say some human beings are shit which isn't wrong because there are those who are downright crap.

But that doesn't mean there aren't good people in the world. Not that I want to praise myself, I don't see myself as a shîtty person.

I think most people are shit, not everyone is though. There's a few good people, there was this guy I used to work with and he would always come up with ideas for charities and would always get people things. He always thinks of others, so he's one of the few good people I know. My wife is another person, I'm not being biased because she's gone out of her way to help others numerous times.

This is correct. In a world full of shîtty people, I've come across so many good ones. I have a friend in Netherlands, we meet from playing a video game called Top Eleven Football Manager. This guy went out of his way to help me out with things I can't even begin to type online. He's a wonderful soul.

There you will witness man's inhumanity to man.
You are not far from the truth, but I have to say this real quick: there are still good people out there. I've met quite a lot of compassionate people in my life.
You're looking at a smaller population and applying that to 8,000,000,000 people. One nation of 10,000,000 might have a labour force of 2,500,000, and of that, 50,000 extracting natural resources.
This is where I'm coming from. There are bad people everywhere, but that doesn't mean everyone is bad. Making judgements based on a few individuals is not fair.

Another time, perhaps. I worked with the general public for around a decade. All I got was shit on daily. F that.
You're likely surrounded by the bad ones, but I know you must have also interacted with good people too. Isn't it?

This is more serious than I thought of. But let me ask, what was the nature of your job that had you meeting people who only were awful to you? Could it have anything to do with your job?

Or rather could it have something to do with him? When all the people are horrible towards you. It's advisable to check yourself or probably assess your attitude towards people.

I wouldn't point any fingers at him until I know what's the nature of that job. There are some jobs which would make people hate you indiscriminately like they hate police in my country. No one likes the cops here because they are all seen as horrible people. Even the good cops are treated with so much hate.

Human beings are cruel creatures. They are wild in nature, they only try to appear appropriate. Human history shows how cruel that can be. Just look at how Jesus was crucified. How can someone do such thing? Wild animal kill for food or when they are scared, but humans kill for fun

The generalisations is what doesn't sit well with me for the most part. Let's take it to the Jesus experience. Was it all he had something in common with when he was on earth that was cruel to him?

People are inherently selfish and are always looking out for themselves. People might say how they do not do this, but put 99.99% of people in a life or death situation and watch how quickly they move to save themselves.

I do not agree with everyone is an evil person. Everybody is unique, and therefore some people can be very nice at times and at the same time be rude. There are lawbreakers, but there are more of those who volunteer to help others in any way they can. So, it's not right to generalise that people are bad.

Customer service jobs and retail tend to make you deal with awful people. It’s the nature of those businesses.

There are good and bad people in this world. It’s the reality of it all.

Some of raised without morals and others are raised with morals to be respectful & kind to others.

In my opinion, people can behave somehow, and sometimes they can be good, as well as can become cruel too. What I'm saying is that, if one is treated kindly, it’s very possible to also treat others kindly too. That's how it works in most cases.

Sure, a few. But I also suffer from extreme anxiety, paranoia, and agoraphobia. That made working with the public a LOT harder, so when people treated me like crap, I'd take it personally and it would upset me 100 times more than someone without those particular conditions.

I have no idea. Most people I encoutered acted like they were better than me, or that I owed them something. *sighs

I understand where you are coming from. Of course, it's going it be extremely harder dealing with difficult people, considering your situation.

Unfortunately, that's is just the gospel truth. That job is terrible because you'll be facing terrible people. People who don't choose their words wisely.

They are horrible human beings. The only thing they know how to do is bring people down. They can't help others or support them in any way but if it's to drag them down, they are so ready for it.

I've had similar experience too when I was a store manager. At some point, I had do deal with customers and staffs. I would be wondering how some people behave because what they are having issues with a staff isn't worth it.
