I remember those days when we will undertake most projects by ourselves. Students will do their assignments, write their projects, come up with presentations and so on all on their own.
But with the invention of Chatgpt, one can use it to do most of these things without breaking a sweat. Some people claim that this fosters laziness, and students and everyone in general will no longer go the extra length to come up with tangible contents.
Is this true?

Yes. I have seen this firsthand in many web developers.

ChatGPT and generative AI is now included in every IDE you can think of, and it is taking away the ability for developers to come up with creative solutions.

Just like in writing, there is so much copy-pasted code in the world today.

Future implications? A lot less secure code and less creative programming/web dev solutions.

ChatGPT is a helpful tool, but I can't deny that it makes people lazy. What those sets of people fail to realize is that ChatGPT should only be used as an assistant and not entirely for your work. It will kill human creativity if not used moderately.

ChatGPT is really helping people make their work easier and can act like a friend who assists you with your homework. But it's a pity that some may not use it wisely because they rely too much on it. For me, I use it to learn more. I use ChatGPT but I'm still very creative and think for myself.

Wasn't it what they designed ChatGPT for? It's to make things easier for users. So, yes, it's definitely a great tool which tell you not to worry about going through the stress, let me do it for you in a second.

I think ChatGPT is making people lazy. These days, people are using ChatrCPT not just for professional communication but also personal communication. They have lost their creativity, and have now become heavily depended on AI

Aaaaah! You're absolutely right about that. I've received some messages on WhatsApp from some of my friends and it ended up being a ChatGPT generated contents to wish someone happy birthday. Some people can't use their brains anymore because of a common AI tool.

Ah, that's messed up. Who uses ChatGPT to come up with a birthday wish? With people like, that the future of creativity looks bleak.

ChatGPT is a tool that is here to stay. We cannot entirely condemn it. Rather we should promote responsible use of the tool. People should be aware of the kinds of tasks that shouldn't be delegated to ChatGPT. For example those that involve innovation, reasoned judgement and critical thinking.

ChatGPT is a tool, and it can be a useful one at that. Issues arise when you start using it as a crutch. Like using it to write your college essay or do your work.

You know what that does?

It makes you better at using the tool instead of gaining the underlying knowledge you need.
