I think the people in the trailer office need to get fired, or at the very least, queried. It is getting horrible. Trailers give half of the movie away, lie about the other half, and show all the highlights.
An experienced person will already know how a movie ends just by watching the trailer 🙄
I seriously think they need to do better. Trailers should give us some snippets of the movie and then roll out a cliffhanger that'd give viewers no choice but to anticipate the movie and proceed to watch it the minute it gets released.

In this world real life there are good people and bad people same for movies they must involve trailers otherwise there is missing part in the story.
I know that movies must have trailers. However, my problem is that they keep churning out substandard trailers for supposedly good movies.
Improvement should be made.

Movie trailers are fantastic . It gives me a lot of suspense and joy. I know at least few details to encourage me watching the full movie😊

Trailers are an advertising tool. They are literally designed to make you "buy" (watch) the product. This is why they essentially give the story away - they want you to know that it's something you'll enjoy, hence, they let you watch the best bits, then your brain automatically wonders what happens in between those bits. It's also why trailers are rarely chronological - frequently they'll play scenes completely out of order to present the story in a slightly different way, to still allow for some questions to be answered when you watch the movie.

You absolutely cannot just watch a trailer of a movie, then be able to talk about the whole movie with somebody IRL without them knowing if you hadn't actually watched it, imo. At least I think I'd be able to find somebody out quick. :p

They present the snippets at their best and all mixed up in order to generate the best interest. Just watching a trailer does not help one to understand the movie. Some of the contexts and detail are actually omitted. Thus, trailers are meany to stimulate people’s desire, but they can't let you experience everything in the film.

Trailers is suppose to grow your appetite for the movie without actually giving anything away. These all trailers do is lie. A trailer would look mind blowing only for the real movie to be complete rubbish.

I know right? I think most trailers don't do justice to the movies in question. Supposedly good movies get bad trailers while the bad ones get deceptively good format.

Very true. There was a movie I watched some time back, I can't really remember the name cause it was a long time ago. I saw the trailer and I was really hyped to watch it. Only to watch it, it was feeling like I was watching a very different movie.
