discuss Expensive TV series!

I recently saw a list of most expensive TV series in the world

The first rank goes to The Rings of Power - which had to spent 58 million US $ per episode!!

Other prominent ones include Wanda Vision, The Crown, Game of Thrones, The Mandalarians and the likes of it.

What do you think, is the money well worth it?

Did I read that second paragraph right? 58 million dollars per episode? I have not watched the series, but it better be pulling insane numbers in box office.

$58 million an episode for a show I've never heard of? Damn, maybe it's worth checking out.

It doesn't surprise me that Game of Thrones features on the list. I'm currently watching it now, and it's quite obvious that the cost of production would have been massive.

They spent their marketing budget on production, that's why.

They expected word-of-mouth advertising based on the cost alone. Looks like it worked.

I always though Game of Thrones was the most expensive TV series, how naive I was. I have heard of that series but never watched it. Now I know that they spent that kind of money I am surely watching this.

Even I thought GoT was really expensive because the sets and all those looked royal, real and wonderfull.

However, maybe they are lacking in graphics, the amount paid to script writers, the kind of brand value and merchandise opportunity that these films are generating.
