Growing up, I never thought I would be interested in foreign TV series, that is until I watched Jumong, a Korean TV series. It has 8 seasons, and I actually watched it all - twice!

That shows how much I really enjoyed it, and that marked my beginning of Korean TV journey 😁

What was your first foreign TV series? Did you enjoy it?

It was a Mexican soap opera with a cheesy name. As you would expect, it had love, intrigue, betray, emotions, and everything else. I loved it because I was young, but I do not think I could watch a TV show like that today.

I watched this beautiful Korean series called Trauma code.

Its very convenient for me to watch medical web series because being a doctor, we can identify what is being done since the terms and wordings are similar all across the globe.

Additionally, even if I dont understand, i can think through and make it like a brain exercise.

The list of my favorite foreign TV shows is very long. Some of them that I can easily recommend are ;

1. Dae Jo-yeong
2. Iron Empress
3. Iris
4. City Hunter
5. Athena
6. A Man They Call God
7. Six Flying Dragon
The only one I have not watched on your list is number 4 😁. Safe to say I myself am not a newbie in Korean TV shows.

City Hunter was a very interesting Korean TV show. The story of the young boy is something that was very captivating that makes anyone who watched the show to love it so much.

I find it surprising that I didn't wat h it since it is one of the oldest Korean TV shows. Well, I guess we can't watch it all can we?
Did you watch Jumong?

It is possible that you and so many other people have not watched City Hunter. It's a very common thing with some movies and TV shows.

Yes of course, I've watched Jumong. I've also watched Dae Jo-yeong, The Emperor, Iron Empires, Warrior Baek Dong-soo, Six Flying Dragons and many more.

My first ever foreign TV show that I remember watching was Squid Game. I don't remember watching any other foreign TV shows before that and if I did, was probably too young to even remember.

Squid Game I was able to cope with using the subtitles in English but I don't think it would have been the same had I have watched the dubbed version of the series and many did advise against that.
