discuss Do you sometimes wish you have more time?

A thread covering the latest news on trends, groundbreaking technologies, and digital innovations reshaping the tech landscape.
Do you sometimes feel that way?
All the time.

However, I plan the night ahead for the next day so that I can get all that needs to be done in a day done in the day. It would be nice to have more hours, but I do like to sleep too. I feel that 24-hours, of which 12-16 are productive, is enough.

Time is the most precious thing in life. It's never enough which is the sad reality we all have to accept. It's why making the most of your time as much as you can is important because a minute wasted can never be recovered.
Short form content is a hell of a way to waste time too.

Before it got "big", I noticed that I was using it increasingly more and more every day, way back before when we knew it would rot your brain. It had such an influence that I needed to watch just one more short clip, because what could it hurt? I ended up limiting myself to 30 minutes daily, and then 15.

Now, I'll only watch 1 to 5 per day if they show up in my feed with a really good thumbnail.

I agree, those short clips on social media can take a big chunk of one's time. You will be thinking 'just one more' and before you know it, an hour has flown by!

Tiktok is king in making someone become so addicted to watching short video contents. It's like a virus. When you allow yourself to be infected by it, your soul will be gone forever. It's hard to quit the obsession to keep watching.

In a day when I have a lot of things to do, I always wish I had more time, however, in a day when I have nothing to do I feel that I have too much time. :D
Are there actually days that you have nothing to do? Surely it can't be, even on days that you are off from work, you might still have some things to get done?

I'm very good at keeping the watch time (or shorts) down as I know I could endlessly scroll them.

I have better things to do.
There are those who are weak to resisting a habit or the urge to do what they like but it's good you're not like that. You know when to start and when to say no more.

It usually feels that way. I've also noticed that when you don't have so much thing doing in a day, it will be as if time is not moving fast because you are just going to feel lazy completely throughout the whole day.

I always wish I had more time in a day. The amount of times I say to myself or even to others, "there are just not enough hours in the day" is crazy, and I tend to hear it a lot as well.

I often sit and think about ways I could increase how many hours I have to spend doing the things I need to, I would have to cut sleep out and that is never a good idea.

'24 hours a day is just too little, can't it just be increased to 34 hours or something?' That used to be my reaction sometimes. Can you blame me? Sometimes there is so much to do in one day that 24 hours feel so short.
Do you sometimes feel that way?
All the time tbh, but i'd say 24 hours is still enough time to get things done. As long as you set yourself a schedule and focus on things that matter.

Sleep is vital, so I wouldn't count those hours, but 8-14 hours is more than enough in the day for me to do various tasks.
