fitness Alpha Types and Tobacco

I do not like it when people associate tobacco with increased productivity or something that gives them an edge over things. The truth of the matter is that it’s a very harmful substance that can lead to very serious health issues and can even cause early death. The benefits that you think you get from it is outweighed by the risk you are exposed to. There are so many better ways to boost your productivity other than tobacco.

I suppose a lot of coffee would work just as good.
 
but it gives you that edge to work hard
I don't think that tobacco gives you an edge to work hard but rather a goal to finish quicker to get to the goal of the "carrot" (or a cigarette break).
but after working hard many years, you die early.
This doesn't necessarily correlate to tobacco at all. You can work hard for many years as a non-smoker and die early, too.
 
I think that thought is largely created by the movies. I don't think anyone would be able to work hard after smoking or would increase work efficiency while smoking.
I think the benefit of smoking is to relieve stress for some people. it is not necessarily going to improve or enhance our work.
