Between working and dieting, which one do you focus more on when it comes to trying to lose weight? I feel that you need to balance two of them in order to have a good result because if you're working out but having your diet messed up, all the efforts invested in working out is a waste of time.

Which one is more effective for losing weight between working out and dieting?

I work out more.

My workout involves cycling, hiking, kayaking, and stuff like that. To me, that's a fun adventure. Dieting is not that fun. Starving isn't very entertaining to me, LOL. So, I try to push the limits with my recreation.

Saturday, I participated in a 30-mile gravel bike race. I gained about 2,500 feet of elevation. That's where I lose weight, the hills!

Yesterday I hiked at 4 different places, getting about 500 feet of elevation total but 6 miles of hiking.

You're absolutely right about that, it's not fun starving in any way but what can some people who can't help it over eating all the time when they are trying to keep a good shape? Some of them are too lazy to workout more often or actively.

I do need to get into hiking more this year. It's part of the outdoor activities I really enjoy doing.
