There's a drug that never gets finished in my house and the drug is Loperamide. It's used to control and relieve the symptoms of acute diarrhea. If I eat anything that's not prepared well, I will start having diarrhea immediately. It's why I always have Loperamide at home. Ibuprofen is also another drug I keep at home.

Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Tums, and Nexium. I take Nexium for my GERD. I also take a one a day and probiotics for my IBS-C. The pain pills are for occasional headaches and joint pain.

I try to use natural stuff more than anything. I do a lot of ginger teas as I find them to help my stomach more than anything else.

Check. I might have something like Nexium (I'd have to check), but it's far more immediate relief than Tums, which I carry in the car and tend to work after a while. I only use a prescription one when I wake up with extreme heartburn because ain't nobody got the time to wait through that to get back to bed.

The pain pills are for occasional headaches and joint pain.

I rarely use them, but they're good to have around the house for fevers and pains when they arise. Also, I am in a home with 3 girls (2 above that age), so we need the Tylenol/Ibuprofen, or I'll need it from the headaches given because they didn't take it.

My heartburn has become progressively worse over the past 5 years since I got it. But, it only occurs severely maybe once a month or so. I can live with that. I just hope it's not doing any esophagus damage, which would make problems even worse.

The other two drugs I keep in my house is caffeine, with a pot always freshly brewed, and nicotine, with Zyn pouch containers spread across rooms.

I also have quite a few drugs for testosterone and growth hormone management.

You two made me get up and check what I use for the worst case of heartburn, which I typically get while sleeping, that is strong enough to wake me up.

It's called Lansoprazole sold as Prevacid. A 30mg dose (1 tablet) that melts in my mouth and goes down the shute is enough to tame it within seconds. I rarely need to take a 2nd, but I have at times when it's just so bad that one alone doesn't work.

My mother have ulcer and it's very bad. I think I'll have to talk to her about this Lansoprazole. The next time she will be going for check up, she's going to bring it up to her doctor and hear what he says.

Since Tums (or generic) are over the counter, they're easy to grab when you start it feeling to come on. I have a pack in my car, but I have run out on an occasion and made a quick stop to pick some up.

I have to get Lansoprazole from my doctor. It's for "heartburn", but I think I might have GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease). I had a camera stuck down my throat (not the best feeling). when I got it the worst, and there was some tissue damage at that time. I never got a formal diagnosis, just the medicine prescribed to take when it's really bad like that again, which is typically at night when I'm sleeping on an empty stomach.

I envy those people who stay from year to year without having to take even a single pill. There are some people like whom I know in person. Their body system is built differently. They don't know how lucky they are being that way. Pills and hospital isn't any of their business.

I always have ibuprofen and acetaminophen for pain and fever. I use antacids for heartburn whenever it comes knocking. I do have it once in a while but not frequently.

Well, I use Loperamide. I have issues with my stomach, so I always have some at home. I also keep acetaminophen for those terrible headaches or to bring down a fever. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I've always got pain relief drugs as well as tetracycline for the stomach. I get those drugs so that it can be of help when I have emergencies at home to handle. I can take them or give to a visitor having some minor health challenges.
