I have watched pretty much films, but I cannot just take my mind off the movies that were produced in the 1970s. It was the Cinema's golden era.

Here are my favorite movies of that age.

- The Godfather (1972)
- Jaws (1975)
- Rocky (1976)
- Star Wars (1977)
- Apocalypse Now (1979)

I think Hollywood got its name carved in the sand of time at that era.

I also agree that the 1970s was a landmark for filmmaking. It's more like a foundation upon which films are made. Movies made during that time are now a source of inspiration to filmmakers. The Godfather, Jaws, and Apocalypse are indeed a source of inspiration for modern cinema.

I also concur that the films in the 1970s make a big difference in the movie industry. In addition to that, the 1980s and 1990s are the period that I witnessed myself and there are so many notable films I can mention. Those periods featured films like Blade Runner, Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption etc.

I think the 60s and 70s were the best decades for movies. In the 60s color movies started becoming popular. The early 60s was also the decade of New Wave Cinema

I would argue the 80s because they were the birth of action films as we know them today.

The Terminator, Predator, and many other action films set the bar and many producers and production houses are still trying to recapture their magic to this day.
