fitness What Is the Best Way to Track Fitness Progress?

This general fitness thread covers all aspects of fitness, including workouts, nutrition, wellness tips, lifestyle changes, and fitness advice.
I use Strava to record and archive my hikes and bike rides.

For my cycling, I use a Garmin bike computer that sends data to Garmin Connect on my phone and then to Strava.

For my hiking, I use a Garmin Watch. It's very basic. I have to enter it as a running event and change it to hiking once it transfers to Strava from Connect. My particular watch doesn't have a hiking mode. It's old, but unlike my Apple Watch, it lasts forever without needing a charge.

I use the Apple Watch to record my steps and standing goals.
 
I prefer tracking only the important metrics that appeal to me instead of using only weight or body measurements. I track my running pace and strength over a period of time. And if I see concrete improvements, I maintain focus toward my fitness goals. I monitor my exercise attendance consistency every day using the tracking app. .
