game What has been the worst in game purchase you made?

For threads discussing games on PC, consoles, or other platforms.
I don't just buy games, I do a lot of research before buying a game, I read industry expert reviews, user reviews, check details about the game and then make the purchase decision. Therefore, I do not have any worst purchase

It was a mobile game. I don't remember the name, but it was a fighting game. First, it was 2 GB to download, so that took time and precious space on my phone. Then I had to create an account, which is understandable.

What broke me was the ads. You had an ad when you opened the app, another when you started a round, another when you completed the round, maybe another when you returned to the main menu.

I had had enough and deleted it shortly after that. I don't remember if I got the refund because that game did not sit on my phone for more than a few hours.

If the mobile phone game was full of ads, it means the game was free to play right? There's no ads in paid video games whether it's on mobile phone, PC or console platform.

$0.99 😂, it's more like a dollar. It's not enough to remove ads from such a game. I bet there would option to pay for ads to be removed.
I think the developers were testing to see if there was a market for their game before going bigger. They just did not bother disabling the ads because it was a proof of concept and they could grab some cash while they were at it

I'm going to check how many people that have paid downloaded the game so far in order to have a picture of how much the developers have been able to make from selling the game.
