I discovered that I'm starting to increase in size. I need to get lean and also gain enough strength as well. I am running and jumping, but I’m not impressed with the results. I want to try more but I don't want to look unfed like someone I know.🤣 She looks too skinny, all in the name of slimming.🤣🤣 I want mine to be moderate. Should I lift weights or do bodyweight exercises?
 
I will advise you to mix cardio with strength training.
This is good advice if you want to keep size, but stay lean. You just need to be able to eat right in combination to the cardio and strength training to find that perfect look for you.
You can try deadlifts, rows and leg press like pushing a big pedal. It works like magic. You can also try core exercises like Russian twists and leg raises.
And these are the exercises that I would recommend to have a rounded-out figure.

I would add benching or pushups to the mix though. If your back becomes stronger than your chest, or your chest becomes stronger than your back, you will get out of balance and notice that your shoulders are pulled out of their natural resting position. That's why when you see the guys who bench all day, every day, they look like gorillas with a slight hunch, as they're not focusing on their back as much to pull the shoulders back upright.
 
You can do squats. It'll help you form a nice butt 😂
I'd just add to that to do 3 sets of squats and split them with another 3 sets of squats with your toes elevated about 1.5"-2" inches to hit the hamstrings harder as opposed to the quads, which can push the butt up as they develop.

Getting a toned body is a result of right diet and the right exercise. You cannot lean up just with exercise if you are not eating right food, you cannot have a toned body if you are just dieting and not exercising.
 
In case you are unable to achieve the desired results, you can consult a gym coach or can join gym even if it for a short time and that will help

Engaging in activities like running, jumping and dancing can make us thinner. We can also attempt do to exercises like yoga or karate. It works well too. I’m speaking from experience.

I completely agree with you on that! We need to take foods that are nutritious as it’s the central to good health. A take a few modifications with my meals. For instance, taking additional fruits and vegetables, can go along way.

Fruits and veggies will always help. It also helps to try taking raw veggies or half cooked. Veggies like carrots are best for our health and should be had raw.

You should always combine exercise with food to become thinner. If you exercise but do not control what you eat, you can never become thinner. Trust me you cannot become thin with yoga.

I totally agree with you. Exercise is not enough if you want to get lean. You also have to be careful with what you eat as well. Exercise and proper diet are the the things that help you to get a lean body. Yoga works but, practicing only yoga won't bring it down.

Weight loss isn’t just about exercise, it is about modification to diet and making some sort of change to your lifestyle. A well formulated diet plan and control is necessary to achieve this. Reducing daily calorie consumption along with engaging in some form of exercise will help to conclusively lean up.
