Tattoos are something I do not mind but I have always been the kind of person that tattoos should have a meaning.

We all know that tattoos once they are complete, are permanent unless you are willing to pay for laser treatment to get rid of the tattoo and even then, that can leave scars that no one would want.

I have one tattoo at the moment that I got done when I donated to a charity, I got a small heart on my inner left wrist that is purple with a black background. The reason I chose this specific tattoo and the place it is in is because I know that it can be added onto.

I would like for my next tattoo to be a tattoo of the family cat's paw print, we lost her just over two years ago. I would like to have the paw print with angel wings and her name and the year she was born and the year she passed.

What are your thoughts on tattoos? Do you have any tattoos?

I have 4 tattoos. I got my first tattoo when I was 16. I don’t see anything wrong with them. A lot of people use them as a way to express themselves or a tattoo has a symbolic meaning.

For example, all my tattoos have meanings. I have my daughter’s name, my dad’s nickname, east coast and the word karma tatted on me.

I was born and raised on the east coast, so it’s symbolic to me.

I don't find them attractive on women, but I respect people's free choice. I don't think the Bible wants believers to have them.
You only find them attractive on men. That's okay. It's 2025. Love who you want to love. No one is judging you.

P.S., the bible is just a book. It's not the word of god, it was written by men with agendas, biases, and a very limited understanding of the world around them. It’s been edited, translated, reinterpreted, and politicised over centuries. Don't let some old dudes define your morality.

I don't draw tattoos, but I won't be against any of my friends who are doing so. It is a choice for them, and I know that they are free to draw it if they wish. So, in as much as I can't control them from having a tattoo, I believe they won't say any negative thing towards me because I have none.

Just interesting that you focused on gender when declaring tattoos as unattractive. Surely they’re just unattractive period. Or are they okay on men?
I'd say it's just an opinion. I was just noting how people would want to deface their body, but then again, it takes someone tough to get one. It's very painful, I think.

That seems a little judgemental and bigoted. You ‘don’t like people’ based on physical appearance? What’s the difference between you saying that and someone saying they don’t like people because they have dark skin?
Maybe I phrased this wrong. What I was trying to say was I do not like too many tattoos in people. It is not the people I dislike, it is "too many tattoos." I have no issues with physical appearance, I have no problems with skin color, or features. I am not someone who judges people based on how they look. When I said too many tattoos, I was mainly referring to something that gives a "deformed look."

I'm loaded with scars and deformities on my abdomen, so I don't understand the appeal of tattoos cause, honestly, I've had to hide my body for most of my life. I don't know how to swim because of it.
Buy a rash guard. Protects from the sun, and will cover them right up. Get in and have fun.

I have to wear one because of my tattoos. I dislike my chosen tattoos because they were all whim-of-the-drunken moment at closing time, get this black tat done tattoos. One drunk moment, "Let me tattoo my birthday to my shoulder!" 🤦‍♂️

I'm going to eventually cover them up with a t-shirt if I can't get my forearms another inch or two bigger for a full shirt. And, hopefully secure an artist as good as what @Pete Griffin displayed with the blue, vivid colored rose above (if that's not graphics), as I believe only red can cover my black tattos. I'll bring out my children's names (left and right ribs), and my wife's will be retouched, but the rest will be a piece of art. I'm thinking of a fusion of the West to the East (Asia) from front to back: Seattle to the bay to the Cascades to the Pacific to Japan and elements of each blended in one piece.

Tip: Don't get a tattoo under $250, 30 minutes before closing, or drunk (a combination of all 3 adds much more regret).
