Do you still remember what warm-ups and cool-downs mean? Sometimes I get annoyed with them, but believe me, they are really necessary for our body.

Stretching before exercise prepares our muscles for workout while cooling down also assist in muscle relaxation and protection. They help hold things together. Which warm-up and cool-down exercises do you like most?

Warm-ups are super important, especially if you're participating in competitive or contact sports. Warming up the joints and stretching the ligaments is very important for avoiding injuries. Playing football and rugby means I have to do a lot of hamstring stretches, calf raises, knee joint stretches and of course a small cardio HiiT warm-up.

While I hate doing them, I know that they are necessary over just static stretching.

I'll do my warmup exercises, followed by stretching, and then get into my workout routine.

But depending on what I'm doing, I'll skip a cool-down exercise as the movement I'd get from a typical day would suffice. A good example of this would be ending my leg workout and then cooling off by just walking around the gym to get my stuff, get water, purchase a protein bar, then walk to my car, which is typically at the far end of the parking lot.

I'll get static stretching in on my legs, from the previous example, before hopping in bed though.

That’s interesting, It seems like you are taking a very much preventative strategy toward injuries. That looks good to me because including the important areas like hamstrings, calves and knee joints in your warm up is a good idea. It is also possible to include a cardio HIIT warm-up which is a perfect exercise to warm up your muscles.
