These days people tend to post everything on social media, even the things not ment to be public, including the lies and truth. It has gotten to the stage where people no longer know what's true or not. One way relationship has been affected by social media is that they tend to get high expectations from their partners due to the many things they see online, causing trouble in the relationships.

If care is not taken, most people can use social media as a benchmark for how relationships should go. And that could be a big mistake, because social media should not be taken seriously.
Very true, a lot of things happening in socal media are simply fake life. Once you begin to set your standards based on what yoú see there might be a huge problem in the future.

PRESSURE is the biggest threat social media pose to relationships. If your partner is someone who pays too much attention to what they see on social media platforms, they will be building up fake pictures of what they expect from you without knowing a lot of things people post on social media platforms are fake life. This breaks relationships more faster than cheating.

Of course there is influence and it's the bad one. When you compare your man/woman with what a social norma should be out there, it is inevitable you will find flaws and reasons to criticize them because "majority" agrees with your opinion. So, you must be right, right? The reason lots of marriages lastetd in the past (my country) is because marriage is a private matter and nobody is allowed to discuss it. They have problems? Solve them alone, don't cry to your neightbor or mommy or daddy.

The people who use social media often are always in a bid to compare their partners and relationships to those they see on the internet which most times are not real. The key thing to bear in mind is that social media are mostly not real and it should not be used as a major source of information to straighten things with our partners and it our relationships.

Social media can cause many problems in many cases. However, this depends a lot on each case particularly. In many cases, social media could lead to distrust. However, this shouldn't be the case all the time. Life was much simpler when there was no social media in the past.

I completely agree with you. I have seen this happen severally. And it is true that social networks make people distrustful and complicate their relationships. Me, I keep my relationship away from social media. I mean, this is my private life. I can't put It in the open.

Social media mania can cause depression. If you cannot compete with your friends, you will becomes dilutional.
There is too much pressure from what people see daily on social media sites. If you are someone who is gullible, you will think that everything you see people post on social media is true which will add so much pressure in your life.

Yeah you're so right there are many tools to use to enhance images feeling ugly 😁. It's better to ignore them. I seldom check my Facebook there are so many nonsense displays.
