Social media has made it easier to stay in touch, but does it really help deepen friendships, or does it create superficial connections? Some people feel closer to their friends online, while others feel more distant.
What’s your opinion? Let’s discuss.

I think friendships can be maintained through offline meetings and regular online communication. This will help to build trust and intimacy especially when they communicate deeply. People should make use of social media networks to enhance their connections instead of using it to eliminate personal meetings.
There are many people who doesn't know how to balance things out with how they use it. I've witnessed many occasion where people sit out but are mostly on their phones. How does that help their communication there? It's a bad habit.

It has mixed effects either getting closer to friends or ruining a friendship. It is better for the person not to take what he or she seriously on media like Facebook.
Social media sites will only affect your friendship with people if you decide to give more attention to what goes on online while ignoring and abandoning your friends in physical life.

I agree with you on that in fact I have almost 100 friends I blocked and restricted. Others want to borrow money. What a lazy person.
