When it comes to streaming platforms, I would say Netflix is a big name. It has carved a name for itself in the streaming service industry to the extent that some may call it the ultimate streaming network. The stats of Netflix speak of this aloud. Another magic it has is its availability globally.

On the other hand, Amazon excels in other services aside from streaming. Don't get me wrong, it's also a force to reckon with but not as popular as Netflix.

What's your top pick?

Netflix and I get the "B" movies (or lesser viewed Prime ones) for free on Amazon's Freevee streaming service with ads. Second to that would be Tubi with a wider "B" selection, also supported by ads.

Prime just doesn't have what I want, and when it does, I would prefer to just rent it. I find renting a movie to be cheaper than having a subscription as I would have Prime US for streaming, which wouldn't give me Prime Amazon shopping deals in Japan.

I prefer Netflix to Prime, you have to rent movies from Amazon if you want to watch them even if you have a Prime subscription which I think it's too expensive. The downfall with Netflix is that they don't have everything and they tend to remove shows/movies constantly.

I have some of my best show on Amazon and some on Netflix, therefore, it is difficult for me to choose just one. However, if I have to, I will go with Netflix as it has more good shows compared to Prime

Netflix has the better movies and TV shows, but Amazon is the better package overall.

It has shows and movies, and you get Prime shipping (last time I checked) and leagues like the Premiere League added to the account.

We have Amazon Prime membership for more than seven years and it used to be enough for us. Only two years back, we got Netflix subscription as my elder daughter wanted to watch few korean dramas. She is in hostel and uses the same subscription. We don't regret taking Netflix subscription either. Both the services are good. I watch one series at a time as my TV time is limited to weekends. I don't get time on weekdays due to my busy schedule. We alternate between the two services. They are equally good. Netflix is more popular globally if we see the statistics.

That’s good you have both Amazon Prime and Netflix subscription services, and you see benefits in the two. I might have to emulate you because it's a way to get a wider enjoyment of content by switching between the two services. It demonstrated that each of the two platforms has its benefits.

It also depends on the time that you have on hand and you can afford to spend on watching shows or entertaining you with movies. My entertainment is confined to Friday and Saturday nights when I can stay awake a little late. I don't watch any TV during daytime or on weekdays. So, I am not able to make much use of it. Even one would have been sufficient for me. Good that I have more members in the family and they make use of it and it doesn't seem like waste of money.

That is good thought. From my point it view. Those who do not have much time to watch movies and shows can be comfortable with only one streaming platform. In my own case, I think that Netflix as a streaming service is very useful, offering maximum opportunities and convenient search for the audience.

I love NETFLIX.

I have three reasons for this:
1. It has very good content
2. The user interface is clean and its easy to find what you want
3. Offers mostly in English, which I am the most comfortable about.

The problem of Amazon is that the interface is very cluttered and its difficult to find what we want. The content is also subpar to what Netflix has in it.

Yes, one streaming platform is good enough if you have time constraints or don't watch much of TV. I feel that most people would opt for Netflix over Amazon Prime. Comparing the two, Netflix has more popularity and appeals to global population. It gives more choices and has content suiting a wide range of taste.
