So aside from the Red Devil's shambolic display this season which has seen them languishing in the 15th position, apparently they are also facing financial crisis.
No free lunch for the staff anymore, I can recall some weeks ago they stopped giving ball boys bonuses.
Something is seriously wrong with that club.
The news I'm actually waiting for is the one that they slash the players salaries by half. Those guys can't be earning such ridiculously high amount of money and be battling release, it's a waste of resources 🙄

Watching Manchester United suffer right now saddened my heart.

Watching Manchester United suffer right now gladdened my heart. They are scum and deserve every single hardship they experience. A vile club. I hope they are swiftly forgotten as they languish in the lower half of the league.

Between Manchester City and Manchester United which one of them would be the bigger scum in your book?

I really feel for Man United. Their.problem did not start now. They haven't gotten some things right since Sir Ferguson left. The recruitment has not been right, I think. Slashing players' salaries would compound their problem. The board needs to really do a thorough analysis to determine the root causes of their predicament.

City are a mediocre club pretending to be a big club. They were nothing before they took Saudi oil/blood money - and I'm 100% certain there is some financial malpractice going on, but that the Saudis are greasing the palms of FIFA/UEFA/Whoever so that they don't get kicked. There is no way a club of that size can afford the players that they have without cheating.

United are scum on a genetic level. City are corrupt.

You said they took Saudi money and you're still wondering how they are able to buy players? I don't know about greasing the palms of FIFA, but I'm sure City can afford to buy any player they want. Pep just needs to plead with Sheikh to give him another 1 billion dollars and its game on 😛

Before Manchester United invest £2bn in a new stadium maybe they should focus on actually being not shit.

This is the major issue with top flight football clubs. They’re no longer football clubs, they’re brands and businesses.

You're talking about the 115 charges. Until proven guilty, Manchester City is innocent of all chargers.

I wasn't talking about the charges, I was talking about the collective understanding of the footballing community that they are corrupt. Etihad Airways are the primary sponsor of Man City, sponsoring the strip and the stadium. The owners of the airline and the owners of the club are intrinsically linked. The sponsorship deal is inflated to help City comply with Financial Fair Play regulations. Sheikh Mansour’s Abu Dhabi United Group was covering up to 80% of the sponsorship payments, rather than Etihad Airways paying the full amount from its own revenue.

City stinks of corruption. Its spending like a big club when it's not a big club. It's a plaything of Arab oligarchs. City have already had to pay a €10 million fine for failing to cooperate with a UEFA investigation. There is no smoke without fire.

I would consider what is happening as an 'open surgery' one of their past managers, Ragnick, talked about. He made a point that a lot has to change, and this is what I see happening. With lots changing, we can be sure of a better next season. We have seen new signings such as Obi and Dorgu proving themselves in matches as well.

It's not just about bringing in new players now. There is an undercurrent of negativity at the club. They have lost belief. They don't believe they are winners any longer. No number of new players will change that attitude.

I will still say it again, until proven guilty and punished severely, Manchester City remains innocent of all the allegations. Other clubs in similar situations in other league was found guilty and relegated. Until that happens to City, it's only going to be talks and accusations.
