off-topic Life Goals

For threads discussing subjects unrelated to the main forum topics.
I feel like I've never had or planned many goals. I take each day as it comes and try to develop a sense of contentment with how my life turns out. I'm not against setting goals by any means, it can be a great thing to do and bring in a sense of accomplishment when they are completed. My primary goal is to keep myself afloat and not cave into quitting on certain aspects of life.

If that is the case, then how do you plan your finances?

Surely, you would be having some for of goals like marriage, education or anything like that.

Having a goal is not only a philosophy, but kind of an imperative to lead a optimistic life and one that is full of hope.

What are the goals of your life in the short, mid and long term ?

Here are mine

Short term: Take my parents to a tour, which I am doing in 2 months time.

Mid term: Go with a foreign tour with my partner

Long term: Have a nice retirement corpus to cushion my old age.
Goal setting is crucial for achieving success, building motivation, and creating a clear direction in life. However, it often comes with a challenge: the pressure to see that goal become a reality. Some of us cannot handle such pressures.

I currently do not have any short-term, mid-term or long-term goals, but I do have an ultimate goal.
My ultimate goal is to achieve financial freedom and stability. Once I reach this milestone, I'll be able to create and pursue additional goals, unlocking new opportunities and possibilities for my future.

Embarrassingly enough, I'm in my 30s and I live with my parents. I only have a part-time job and don't have to pay rent. I'd love to keep saving money for the future, but bills and other things keep popping up. It's tough to find a job I'm content with and can handle. I'm content with my current job to an extent, but that's probably because I only have to work part-time and I'm not over-working myself as I feel I did a few of my past jobs.

I stopped caring about relationships and friendships due to being berated so many times by my peers. I've run into too many careless, ignorant idiots to care about building trust and a social circle. So, I have no goals in those terms.

I'm hopeless overall of exceeding in life due to many personal issues.

Then, I think your immediate goal is to start saving.

I actually thought t hat I dont have enough money to start saving. Then I pushed myself and started a recurring deposit which forces me to move money into it, I understood that I have enough headspace to make investments.

Hopefully, you will be there in the near future.

For the short term, I intend to complete my building. It is just finishing that is left in the house now.

For the medium term, I would love to get married, stabilize and raise a lovely family.

For the long term, I want to establish an oil palm plantation that I would use as my retirement source of income and transfer same to my kids.
