Jennifer Lopez is taking a bold step forward in her career with her role in Unstoppable, a Ben Affleck-produced sports drama. Despite their publicized divorce, JLo dove into the project with professionalism and respect for the story, proving her dedication to her craft. The film, based on wrestler Anthony Robles' inspiring life, is set for a December release.

In a recent Amazon/MGM interview, Lopez shared how she stripped away her ego to portray Judy, a key figure in Robles' journey. “I approached the role with a complete lack of ego. It’s her story, not mine. I disappeared; there was no Jennifer or JLo. That person on the screen is just Judy,” she explained. She also credited spending time with the real-life Judy as pivotal to her performance.

Affleck, who publicly praised Lopez’s work, called her performance “spectacular” during an Entertainment Tonight interview. He highlighted the passion of the cast and crew, including Jharrel Jerome, Don Cheadle, and Bobby Cannavale.

The movie follows Anthony Robles, played by Jerome, a one-legged wrestler who defied the odds to achieve greatness. Lopez’s role adds emotional depth to this uplifting story, which balances athletic ambition and personal resilience.

Lopez’s decision to work with Affleck after their split emphasizes her focus on storytelling over personal drama. With Unstoppable on the horizon, JLo proves she’s still pushing boundaries in Hollywood.

Apart from their relationship, which I don't really care too much about, the movie sounds like it'll be a great sports flick.

Jennifer Lopez is a talented actress and I guess she was not lazy to get a role in the Unstoppable. She did not go in for the glamour, she just wanted people to be entertained and that was awsome. It is nice to be a hardworking woman and that is what she really is.

Unstoppable was a great movie for Jennifer Lopez because she paid attention to and I like how she emulated the real life Judy. He wanted to be sure that she provided the right details of the story. It’s great that she so much wanted to share someone else’s life.

She obviously got into the character as much as possible and even thinking like a doctor. I am glad to read her desire of sharing such good stories.
