Porcelain Fortress, the developers behind *No Time to Relax*, has recently secured $3 million in seed funding. According to GamesIndustry, the Icelandic studio will be using the funds to support their next project, which remains under wraps for now. The funding round was backed by Behold Ventures, Crowberry Capital, and Brunnur Ventures.
The company has also expanded its team, growing from four employees to 14. Among the new hires is Ingolfur Aevarsson, who joined as CEO in March after serving as the chief marketing director at 1939 Games. Aevarsson acknowledged the pivotal role of the Icelandic Technology Development Fund, stating that without its support, many of the studio's ideas wouldn’t have come to fruition.
As for what's next for Porcelain Fortress, the studio shared that *No Time to Relax* continues to attract a loyal fanbase, even years after its 2019 release. The game has sold 350,000 copies to date and saw its best sales month in July. Much of the game's recent success is attributed to exposure through streamers, with the title amassing millions of views online. Aevarsson emphasized the importance of streaming, noting that the team views streamers as a key element in the strategy for their upcoming project.
The studio is expected to reveal more details about their new title in the coming weeks, according to GamesIndustry.
