I see a lot of people being very comfortable with body shaming others on social media platforms. It's why some people either lock their profile from public access or they don't or hardly upload any of their pictures online.

It's worse when it's someone's partner in a relationship that body shames them. A married friend of mine complained about how her husband used to body shame her because of how her body have been lose after child bearing. It makes me think some men are very stupid.

How do you feel when someone body shames you?

I'm a local "influencer" on social media. 99% of my followers love me. 1% hates me and body shames me every chance they get.

I'm going to be honest - it doesn't bother me. I look at everything with a psychological approach. When someone does something negative, there is a reason why they're doing it. When someone does something positive, again, there is a reason for it. It's all psychological.

Once you start looking at stuff like that, it becomes easier to not get offended by someone calling you names. Something happened to that person at some point for them to behave in that manner. Something probably bad.

I have seen a couple of people speak badly of others because of their body shape. That could lead to an emotional abuse and yet some individuals today derive joy in negative comments on the physical characteristics of others.

Each person possesses their distinctive shape and there is need to fully accept and respecting their differences
