I have a lot of friends on my Facebook account which I've seen some of them doesn't have anything to post on their own except sharing other people's and pages post. They don't try to verify whatever they were going to share to know if it's true or false. Constantly seeing all they share is very annoying which is why I unfollow them to stop seeing anything they share unless I personally go to their wall.

I first read this as "oversharing" details of an experience, which I suppose is fitting too.

In both instances, I just scroll on. Blocking them from my feed could get important things that I want to see not shown.

People who share excessive information on social media do wish to be noticed by their audience but I think it should be done in moderation.

I'm with you on this. Social media users who post excessive information become extremely bothersome especially when I'm searching for something more important and their content overshadows it.

Several of my friends who share nothing but senseless stories no longer appear on my social media feed because I unfollow them.

I don't like people who over share. I interpret this as spamming. Therefore, I will just limit their posts on my feed and if needed I even unfollow the creator.

I'm guilty of sharing contents too much on my Facebook account but there's only one kind of content that I do it with. It's only football related contents and I'm 100% sure what I'm sharing is true and verified.

If you come across my Facebook, you will know in a split second that I'm crazy football fan.

This is unfortunately going to make you lose or miss out on some information that might have been useful to you if you end unfollowing the person. Unless you will be going to check his wall from time to time.

What I do is when I find out most of what they are share is false and fake news targeted to boost traffic to the source it came from, I'll unfollow the account. I try to follow official pages that post credible information which are true.

It is very unfortunate that a lot of people would do absolutely anything possible to just get views because of the potential of making money from social media platform. I'm sure that is why they share all manner of things and post all kinds of contents.

There's enough money to be grabbed on social media, it's why I sometimes ignore some of the things people to to earn from it because those sites took too long before they started recognising people's effort.
