discuss How can we overcome the fear of failure and take risks?

This thread covers all aspects of ideologies, including beliefs, principles, traditions, policies, and their influence on society and culture.
A lesson I learned adopted very early on: You only have one life, and time is finite, so do it and then evaluate and adapt afterwards.

You need to push yourself to get out of your comfort zone. If you don't do it, and even fail trying, but retry, you'll never develop the coping skills of dealing with failure and will always be fearful to try. So, find some way to do it once and it will become natural to fail, get back up, succeed, have a setback, get back up, etc.

You're your own worst nightmare and only you can push yourself to accept that failure might happen, but you won't know unless you get up and try.

Just look at it like dating: You'd never have a partner if you fear rejection, because that can happen the 1st, 4th, or even 10th try. But eventually, you'll find a compatible match.
