I forgot to add, that there are a lot of Nepali expats here in Japan. So, some common greetings to learn would be nice, and not the ones learned in books. The ones you actually use in more friendlier conversations, if that is the way you do things there.

Western greetings are more common among my peers. We usually say hi or hello. But older people like to say Namaste and join palms vertically right at the chest level
