Perhaps you watched the trailer or first episode of a series and you are hooked, you feel the drive to watch it as soon as possible.
If you have a full time job you might be tempted to take time off work so that you can watch to your satisfaction.
Of course you would not give that as the reason for your absence.

I haven't had a 9-5 job in a few years though.
I'm retired from that, but I'm still in my mid 30s, so I still grind, if nothing more than to leave more behind to the fam when it's time to go.

I'll make time to binge a series if I need to relieve stress, but I wouldn't recommend anyone living paycheck to paycheck to take time off to watch a show—that's insane.

I love movies but not to the extent of taking a break from something more important. That's absolutely out of the question because I have other free time to do that. Ultimately, I don't mix work with pleasure and I set priorities for things more important. To me, movies are mainly for relaxation. But hey! I have a friend who pretended to be sick and she took a day off from work just to binge watch movies. Me? Never I can't do that!

I have never taken time off from work to binge watch movies and TV series, however, I binge watch TV series and movies when I have nothing to work on, I mean when I am free.

This is exactly how it should be as far as I'm concerned. Anyone who skips work as a result of being in need to binge watch a movie or TV show that's never running way isn't reasoning normal in my book.

I have never felt the urge to miss work in order to watch an interesting series or movie. However, I had skipped meals or chores at home in order to finish a movie with a great storyline. For instance, it happened to me when I first watched The Vampire Diaries and Desperate Housewives. I was so eager to see what would happen next that I abandoned some tasks at home.
