You just can’t help it in some movies. The emotions are all over the place and you most probably won’t know when the waters start coming out.
I have had a few movies like that, and what is funny is that it does not necessarily meant anyone died. The hacksaw ridge made me tear up, thinking of how one can be so brave and heroic in the battlefield.

Has any movie made you cry?

Cry? No. Choke up or maybe a tear, yeah.

Every time I see Taking Chance, a movie about a senior military officer escorting a junior enlisted man to his final resting place after being killed in the line of duty, I'll get choked up at points.

Another movie that you'd be unexpected to shed a tear in is the action-packed military movie American Sniper. It's a story told about Chris Kyle's time during the Iraq War.

I saw it when it was released in theaters. While this isn't a spoiler, I was in an "adult" theater that had an in-theater bar, and threw a couple back during the movie, which may have added to my take of the emotional "ending". While the movie ends on a strong point, I did not expect to see the end having a pre-credit roll with his real funeral procession, seeing how many lives he touched and the amount of people that went to pay their respects.

That got me. Almost to the point of having to leave the theater before the end credits started to roll.

And, that's just a snippet of it. I believe it went on for 200 miles (320 km) with the roads lined the entire route, with new police joining in to assist the escort when it entered their jurisdiction.

^^^That's me right there. Come close but no tears running down my face as of yet.
No movie has yet to break me. My wife on the other hand? John Wick's dog, which just pissed me off (she's an animal lover).

But onions, yeah. 🔪🧅🥺

In very few movies though.

I’m very emotional, and I cry at every sad moment in a movie, especially if it taps into my emotions. I was crying like a baby the first time I watched Titanic until I realised it's just a movie.

No, movies have never made me cry but there are a lot of movies that have made be very sad. Being sad and crying are two different emotions.

That's a good point. Crying is not the same as being sad. Certain films mad me feel sad but do not compel me to cry. That’s why it is quite good to differentiate between these two kinds of feelings. I also have felt sad about many movies that have been made too.

I might sound sexist but I think women can easily cry while watching movies compared to men who cry watching movie. Actually, I don't know of any adult man who cries while watching movies

I do not believe it is about being a woman, crying while watching a movie because It’s something I consider normal. I’ve for sure cried while watching a movie; it is all about emotions tthat a movie portrays to me , it is quite natural.

I hardly cry because of a movie but I have shed tears on a few occasions. That women cry more than men is stereotypical. Both men and women are emotional. Even the 'hardest' man can break down in tears if he watches a certain movie that resonates with him especially if it is about a loss or sacrifice.
