I have been making a fuss about my recent switch from Android to iPhone (yes, again!).

A significantly different experience I have had is a switch from Finger Print to a Facelock and I am not comfortable with it.

Anyone experienced the same thing? Anyone can grab my phone, show it to my face and unlock it. In Fingerprint, that may not be the case.

Anyone else feeling anxious about it like the way I am feeling?

That's not a concern of mine. They have to be right next to you in order to get your face, and if they show it to your face, you're obviously going to see it, and put a stop to it. Pictures don't work.

I wouldn't be too worried about the facelock, it would be very difficult for someone to be able to get your face in the line of the camera for it to pick you up properly for the phone to be unlocked. I would imagine if facelock was a huge concern, we would have heard so much about how unsafe and not reliable it is.

That's sort of what I'm saying. It's hard for someone to actually unlock it without you seeing.

I have both FaceLock and fingerprint on my device but I use my fingerprint often. It adds an extra layer of security to to my devices and I also like that it connects with all the apps installed on my phone.
I think Facelock overrides fingerprint whenever it's active on any device? It's when the Facelock don't open that the fingerlock will be used to unlock the device. I might be wrong though but it's how that works in my device.

I had fingerprint on my last phone, it game me trouble unlocking when I was outdoors, especially when my fingers were dirty. Therefore, when I bought a new phone, I settled with facelock.
The only time I had issues with using my fingerprint was after putting a privacy screen protector on my phone. It couldn't recognise my fingerprint. I had to remove it immediately.

I have a strong password, one fingerprint that you would need to observe me using to get right as it locks down on 3 tries to the password only, and face detect, which will also fall back on a password if not caught just right.

One neat feature of face unlock, on Samsung that is, is this neat feature.

So, even if I'm forced to unlock it, closed eyes will stop it (1), a blink of an eye (2), and again closing my eyes or even looking off center (3) would lock it down too.

Only my wife knows which finger — for easy access, just in case — and the password so that she can get to sensitive information in the inevitable, otherwise, she'd need to tape my eyes open, and I'm unsure if that would work.

Have you ever tried to bypass the face unlock feature by recording your face with another device and using the video to try and unlock the phone? I've always been contemplating if that is done well, it's going to unlock the phone with facial unlock active.

I will always go with facelock as it gives me some level of confidence when using my mobile device. I have stopped making use of fingerprint because of this reason that you mentioned.
