I am no longer in college but when I was in high school and college I sometimes bunked classes to watch movies, especially the classes that I found very boring. Have you ever bunked classes in school or college and went to watch movies? How frequently did you do it?

I think most of us have been there. I think this was more common with boys than with girls. I think girls went to shopping malls rather than movies.

I went to watch movies with some boys after school instead of going home. What made it worse was that we were in uniform and could be easily noticed. We were eventually 'arrested' by law enforcement agents. This happened in the early 90s.
It has also happened to me before. I have ditched classes at school just to go see film. Although, it was exciting. But I was fortunate I did not get caught. Being arrested by the police in your school uniform must have been very troublesome for you. How did you manage to resolve it?

I can relate to that because I have also ditched classes on many occasions just to go see a movie but I have never been caught, just a close call once. I never watched those movies with peace of mind because it was just like a hide and seek thing. 🤣

That's another point right there! I also noticed that each time we skipped lectures to go see movies, it's only one or two girls and many boys there. It's not so common with girls. It all depends on an individual's interest and personality since some girls also get involved in such acts.
I definitely missed some classes in high school because of the bullying
No doubt, it is really sad regarding what bullying can do to a person; this is definitely not anything that anybody should have to go through. How have you been coping with all this?

I can't say I ever bunked off school to go and watch movies with friends, usually if I bunked off school it would be to go to the local theme park we had a little away from where I lived or it would be bunking off school to go out of town with friends and shop.

I do remember some friends I had in school who bunked off to watch a movie that had just released in the cinema.

Since I had 36 months of tuition paid for, skipping any (semester) hour to not achieve what I could was out of the question for me.

I got permission from the Dean to do 3 classes per semester as well as an overlapping mid-semester course (so at one time 4 courses at a time during 2 semesters) if I could keep my GPA up.

I was able to complete my undergrad in/about 20 months and then used the remaining 15 months on my graduate degree.

I only had to pay for about 4 semester hours (if I recall, around $1000) out of pocket for my grad degree. However, that was no issue since I was being paid for housing on top of it. Since my housing allowance was based on the zip code of the school and not where I physically was, I was able to save a lot of this for business ventures (and to pay off the remaining balance).

As tuition was my only form of income, I was also able to get $5000 in FAFSA (paid to the school, much like my tuition was), except since the balance would be greater than what was owed, the school would refund me a good chunk in cash.

I'd also get $1000/year for books, too, which I rarely had to use on books.
