I am a fan of classic movies, I frequently watch movies form Black and White era. In fact some of my all time favorite movies are from the Black and White generation. Do you watch Black and White movies, what are your favorite movies from this era?

This is a thread to discuss anything related to movies.
To add to that, black-and-white films are very special, and there is something nostalgic about them. What makes them even more special and better is their amazing stories and famous actors. Have you watched Casablanca and 12 Angry Men? Go watch them if you haven't.
One major reason why I like old movies is because most of them teach us about history. I like to see how people lived and dressed a long time ago. I like to see those JB trousers and the slim shirts

.Even if these movies are not based on history, you can certainly learn about the history. For example, if you watch a movie made in 1950, you will know how that place looked during that time, and what people wore in that era.
Honestly, I don't like them so much anymore. They are usually sore for my eyes. The last movie which was in black and white that I watched recently was Emancipation. Will Smith was the lead actor in the movie. It was about slavery and war.
I believe black and white should have been scrapped by now. After getting used to Modern movies, I think I will find the black and white ones boring.

Sometimes. The ones I have watched present something different compared to what you expect when watching colored movies.
They immerse you much more because you are drawn in to pay much more attention because of the absence of color. At least this has been my experience with them.

Colour films are more visually appealing than black and white. However, black and white creates a unique experience that gets one highly engaged.
Years ago when I was a kid, I used to enjoy watching movies with my dad, he was always someone who enjoyed to watch classic movies and a lot of them were in black and white.
I can't say that I watch black-and-white movies now though.

The only black-and-white movie I enjoyed was Schindler’s List. I have watched this movie many times, and I will never tire of watching it again.
Schindler’s List is a great movie. The other films such as Casablanca and 12 angry men are also best shot in black and white. They are timeless and beautiful.
Schindler's List was good and Young Frankenstein was interesting, but not one of my favorites.

Oh man i used to love watching the old black and white comedy 'Harold Lloyd' It was so funny. I wonder if I can find any clips on youtube
