Something I used to do growing up and I remember my daughter used to enjoy making them too when she was growing up is making celebration cards. We used to make them for birthday's, Easter, Christmas and even Halloween. I don't tend to make them now but I know my grandma still makes cards for special occasions.
I always felt if they were made by hand and not shop bought, you could always make them unique and to the style that someone would be interested in.
