off-topic Do you have any fears?

For threads discussing subjects unrelated to the main forum topics.
Even though I'm not too obsessed about dying, one thing that I'm completely freaked out about is going broke. The thought of not being able to take care of my needs will kill me faster than anything else.

I'm afraid of heights and going under the knife having a surgery). I pray that I should never have any health issues which would require for me to undergo a surgery. I might die before they they are done with it.

If you are talking about fear, as in phobia, I do not have any kind of fear. But if you are talking about fear in a general sense, I am afraid of a lot of things. For instance, I am afraid of dogs. I have been once bitten by a dog

I have two fears. One is dying without leaving a plan in place for the people I love. And the second one is drowning. It's a bit dark, but I have a right to own my fears.
I wouldn't go anywhere near water if I were you. Thankfully, I know how to swim very well. Unless someone or something pulls me under water without oxygen, I wouldn't easily die from drowning. Do you know how to swim?

My fear is flying, but that's easily overcome with Xanax. 😅

The one thing that I feared was leaving nothing behind. That fear is pretty much checked off. There is plenty to go around, along with a monthly stipend, that they'll do — financially — just fine without me. If I make it to January 2025, knock on wood, a small $40k life insurance plan matures for the full payout which will cover the family tomb and burial expenses, unless they decide to just cremate me and toss me into the ocean, either one is fine with me.

If I get high enough, all my body will start shaking like crazy. So, I know when to stop climbing or I'm getting stuck there or fall off 😂

Right? There's also another machine at work that goes a good 10 feet in the air, and I'm perfectly fine on that lol. I never understood it.

I knew how you felt about dying too young. Of course it is natural to want to live as long as possible. I also have the fears of getting sick at old age. I want to be able to live healthy even at old age.

I'm scared of being alone. I always like to have friends and family members to have good times and be happy with. Being loved by people makes me feel protected. I also like to be positive as it keeps me from being lonely.

I have a fear of heights, if I get up on a ladder I have to climb that shit down rung by rung lol.
Man! I helped a friend put a deer stand on top of a tree once. I couldn’t climb that ladder that we placed against the tree to go up with him.🤣🤣

I held the ladder in place instead.

Flying on an airplane doesn’t bother me, but ladders do!

You can't fall off a plane, so it's understandable you're not going to be freaking out in it. But for a ladder, you'd fall hard if there's any slip.

I should have been afraid of dogs because I had one bad experience as a kid. I was trying to jump on a truck without know a dog was lose in the back. I was nearly bitten, so I had to let go of my hand and feel off the truck.

I have this fear of not reaching the heights I would have loved to attain in life. What's the point of living a life in which one does not achieve his goals and make an impact?

That's a relatable fear. It is one thing to dream big and quite another to be anxious about not achieving those dreams. But at least you have goals and a drive to make a difference which is always good to have.

Unless it is your dog, dogs have erratic behavior, you never know how they can react. Their teeth can easily tear off your flesh. I am afraid to visit dog owners if they are not well known to me

It's the same thing with me as well. I used to freely want to pet any dog I see especially if they look very cute but I will always ask if they are friendly to strangers petting them before I do so.

Some breeds are aggressive where as some breeds are less aggressive, or even friendly. My parents have a dog that is overly friendly, it even wags tail even to strangers. No body is afraid with a dog like this one
