Prices this time are skyrocketing and it seems they never go down. Others have no choice but to live in frugality or live beyond their means. Others started planting vegetables and spices in their backyards to sustain life's crises. I was once an extravagant, but the inflation that the world is facing change my life forever to not anymore live in extravagance. I tried to limit my wants and prioritize my needs. What can you say?

In 2008, we made about $400/month, fortunately able to live with my inlaws, else we wouldn't make it. We built a business from scratch, but it took a lot of grit to make signs (cinderblock, cement mix to hold the sign, and pre-cut wood that was painted on) and cut flyers to drop in mailboxes daily for days on end until we got a call. It ended up being able to make enough to finally afford our own place. That business finally topped out at a nice income with 120-hour work weeks (2 of us/60 hrs a week). I stepped away to focus on other stuff while my wife continued, so it dropped a bit, but not by much. (She no longer does it because I forced her into retirement)

Making it on $400/month is what makes us so frugal now. Those times were tough to make even the most basic of meals.
