I would assume that it's a cost thing.


Many studios invest in making their movies the best, so they need A-listers to be leads. If an A-lister learns through method acting, it could expose them to dangers that they're not accustomed to, especially without the security details they would typically have.


That said, if an A-lister was lost during method acting, whose fault would it be? Could the studio be at risk of a lawsuit? Also, actors, and other very rich people, have insurance policies that cost quite a pretty penny. I would suspect that their policies are void if they put themselves into any risky situation.


I think it comes down to the safety of the actor, to ensure they have that career to bring in the audience, and money.


[USER=199]@Starmix25[/USER] also pointed out the dangers of method acting too. They are not professionals, for the most part, at anything except acting. They should leave the stunts up to the pros.
