You couldn't tell that my wife was older than me at the time, and you wouldn't be able to tell that she's older than me now unless I told you.

I've always went for a little bit older, because at the time, they were a tad more mature in handling things. That concept has kind of gone out the window, from what I see in society today, and older does not necessarily mean more mature as it once was.

I'm glad I married older at the time, and she probably had an influence on me becoming more mature for my age as we grew together.

This reminds me of a friend of mine who was married to a girl 12 years younger and he always said to us, do not marry someone who is very young, you interest will never match. I can absolutely agree with your viewpoint. Since women have limited time for reproductions, they try to be very selective about their partner, and most of the time they choose men older than them.

I have never thought about it that way before. I believe that one factor actually holds and that is in the area of provision. The older men are known to cater and provide more for the women. That's where the attraction comes from.

Well, in some cultures, for instance, age is one of the determinant and it is used to accord respect in a union. But at the same time, again, it important to consider that age is just a number and trust, respect, and communication mean a lot in relationships.

This is a valid argument too for men marrying women that are way younger than them. And then, men also believe that the older a woman, the higher her body count and sexual experience which they find undesirable.

I would personally get to marry a lady that is much younger than I am. Why I choose to do so is because women age quite much faster than men. If you marry your age mate or someone older, she would be looking like your grandma in 10 years time and you would be looking for feminine attraction outside your marriage.
