I have heard a lot of things about the importance of rituals and transitions in Hindu religion. Be it the sacred thread ceremony or the festival of lights called the Diwali, everything that happens in Hinduism is symbolic. How do these rituals make sense and how do they add value to the existence of human beings?

As a practicing Hindu, I practice a lot of rituals. Sometimes I question myself why I am doing all these things, what;s the point? Then suddenly realize that rituals in Hinduism define what the faith is and how a person can be faithful to God and how he can do good for the society. By the way, there is no religion in the world that exist without any kinds of rituals.
