discuss What's The Significance of Rituals and Traditions in Hinduism?

This thread covers all aspects of ideologies, including beliefs, principles, traditions, policies, and their influence on society and culture.
As a practicing Hindu, I practice a lot of rituals. Sometimes I question myself why I am doing all these things, what;s the point? Then suddenly realize that rituals in Hinduism define what the faith is and how a person can be faithful to God and how he can do good for the society. By the way, there is no religion in the world that exist without any kinds of rituals.

It just struck me as important to point out that by engaging in these sorts of rituals, one is not merely worshiping the gods but is in fact, actively participating in the moral standards that will help to maintain social order, sense, and value in our society as well as in one’s own life too.

I studied science so I sometimes ask myself how practicing things that seemingly do not have any kind of explanations will help a individual. You know what I men. Most religions have rituals that look too silly.
