Music is made up of many components. There is the lyrics, the beat, the voice among others. I prefer songs that have relatable lyrics, meaningful ones. Then I want them to have low and slow beats, that is all that matters to me.

When listening to music, what aspects matters to you?

If it's going to make my list of top songs, I am really hard into the lyrics of a song, as you, then the beat comes second. A song that has powerful or inspiring lyrics means much more to me than any other ordinary song that could be taken any way and is bland or has no real meaning.

Club music/rap/hip-hop is a bit different as when I look for that, I need the beat and rhythm, but know that most lyrics are repetitive junk. That's not to say that all songs in those genres can't be impactful, as the same can hold to any genre, but I'll put a song in my favorites with the beat over meaningful lyrics.

I don't just listen to music, I go for songs with strong lyrics, and it should make sense. The beat should also be slow. That's how I can feel the lyrics and be involved emotionally. When these two come together, it makes songs very memorable to me.

I don't really care about the lyrics. What matters most is how the song makes me feel. I always listen to songs that makes me extremely happy and always put me in the dancing mood. For me, it's not just about the words, it's how much fun I get.

A song is a combination of vocal, lyrics and instruments, a perfect song is something that combines all. However, if I have to choose one, I would go with lyrics, secondly, vocal and thirdly instruments.

Sane here I like songs with combination of vocal, lyrics and instruments, a perfect song that has these three things blended together

Lyrics also come first for me. The beat may be slow or fast depending on the type of song I'm listening to. Some rap/pop songs really have deep and meaningful lyrics.

The composition. The lyrics might be great, the best might be great, but the song could fall short because the mixer did not put everything together properly.
