My dad was a good man but he spoiled my family (mom included), minus one son, but he felt it was his duty as a man to provide.

Anyway, do you have personal stories of spoiled people?
 
I really don't think it is wrong to spoil family members especially if they deserve it. It shows that family is very important to such a person. However, limit should also be observed.
 
One major issue of spoiling people or over pampering them is that it could lead to them feeling entitled even in situations where they should not.
