Every now and then, there has been the attempts of great female orientated movies such as Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel which have given women a boost in films. These movies have shown that female superhero movies can make huge impact and rake in huge money in the movie industry.

Being a fan of Wonder Woman, I can confirm the benefit that is has to movies and how it has affected me in particular. It has been very empowering to watch good women play such a wonderful role. These movies have helped to bring in more films with women protagonist and I’m so glad about it.

Even though I enjoy watching these kind of movies, I felt it important to conclude by saying we should not overemphasize the success because women are still severely lacking in film directing, acting, you name it.

I think that we can see a grass-root real time change only if we supplement woman led screenplay with the following changes:

1. There should be more woman in the backstage processing and films

2. Gender pay parity in film industry

3. Screenplays that are gender sensitive rather than having woman play other gander conforming roles.
