Artificial Intelligence (AI) has caused change in the various industries in many ways and it has changed the society. Nevertheless, it means that AI adoption in industries is still an unexplored field that has a lot of opportunities, but also a number of obstacles too.

Technical Hurdles

1. Data Quality: AI depends on data and lack of data integrity is a major influence on AI.
2. Integration : One of the biggest challenges is the lack of integration of AI, especially with current trends.

Human Concerns

Job displacement is the major concerns. Some believe that AI will take over people’s employment.

This is probably the biggest hurdle. For a corporation to integrate it fully into their workflow, they would need to ensure the integrity of the information or it could make a devastating decision for the company.

Though, that brings me to the second point of human concerns:
Job displacement is the major concerns. Some believe that AI will take over people’s employment.
Somebody needs to ensure that the data integrity is there and that it's making the right decision by putting emotion into the equation too.

Also, new jobs are always created after a shift like this.

Think back to when we had horses and carriages on the roads. Who fed the horses and cleaned up after them? Cars replaced horses, so the feeders and cleaners would then be obsolete. However, cars had unique issues of their own to deal with such as repairs and fueling. The ones that fed horses and cleaned up after them, or would have gone into that line of work, would be introduced to a whole new industry with many more opportunities available from refining fuel to mechanical repairs to even fueling cars at service stations.

AI will take jobs, but jobs will always be available in the aftermath. It might take time to see those job opportunities and what they are though. For starters, I'd revert to the data integrity brought up in the beginning. Perhaps you would lose a data entry position at a company, but you would pick up an AI-integrity position replacement to ensure the data is accurate. This is especially true for publicly traded corporations as the CEO and CFO are responsible for errors made in certain types of reports as they have the final signatures. I'm sure they would want to cover their ass by having someone they trust to go through it and make sure it's accurate cause they could face legal or civil penalties for even phrasing something wrong.

For me, I think what AI needs is so simple. It needs better information, just as humans need good facts for their work. AI requires good data to perform well. Aside from this, AI is dumb and I can mess things up if it's not supplied with the necessary information.

AI acts according to the information it has access to. People do not realise that the information supplied by AI is what some people have already written. It's just a little bit of tweaking.

That was a brilliant illustration. I think it fits perfectly well into the situation. No one can dispute that new jobs are not created by AI invention.

Yep.

And for corporations to hop on to implement it fully for all of their tasks, they'll need to feed in private internal memos and messages, which I don't know if they would be willing to hand over to OpenAI. This is because those memos, if somehow leaked or the LLM uses them to help others, could open them to not only competition but lawsuits if they are publicly traded corporations.

Sure! You have a very valid concern point there! It'll be so difficult for corporations to want to share their sensitive data with AI models because of data leaks. It could have a negative impact on the company.

It is safe to say that AI is already taking over the job sector. But that doesn't mean things are hopeless for humans. We just have to adapt to the changing circumstances and arm ourselves with the needed skills to stay relevant in the employment field.

A lot of people have trust issues, they do not seem to easily trust machines. One prime example is mistrust in self driving cars. I think this thought is fueled by Hollywood movies where technology is usually show to be bad for mankind.

There is still a lot to be done with AI. The issue of accuracy is what comes to mind. Some of the information you get from AI might not be entirely correct. That's why I'm sceptical of using it, especially for content generation. This means that it still needs data to work well.

The major concern here is AI security. AI has made a lot of improvement in the past years but while we use it, we must protect our data to prevent hacking. I also need to say that AIs are designed to assist humans, not take their jobs.

They said the same when cars replaced horses, and horses are still around today. AI will replace some people, but the majority will end up working with it in a sort of hybrid arrangement.

The cybersecurity industry is celebrating because the use of AI is leading to poor code and security holes. This means as long as people keep using AI to create software and systems, cybersecurity experts will keep finding security issues they need to deal with. Suffice to say, their jobs are pretty safe.
