Now it is time to discuss TV genres that are slowly fading away. I believe, that Westerns are one of those. They used to be pretty famous, but now you don’t get to watch new Western shows or movies as frequently.

What do you think?

That's true but I also think Sitcoms are struggling due to the advent of some online software, people have developed a culture of watching dramas and reality shows in streaming platforms. . I guess that people just don’t watch sitcoms the same way that they used to anymore.

I also believe that Soap Operas are on the way out as well. Soap Operas are just not as enticing as in the past. I’m sure everyone will agree to this.

There are a lot of western shows out now, especially Yellowstone, landman, 1923 and 1883.
I don’t think the genre is phasing out.

I think at a time it was losing its popularity. But there seems to be renewed interest in the genre.

I don't see many of the old style sitcoms anymore, where the comedy is more about poking fun at yourself or at a situation or thing than other people. So much comedy nowadays tends to focus on criticizing others to using other people at a topic of comedy, whereas, at least in my childhood, a lot more comedy seemed to be "silly" and harmless essentially.
