Basically, the Tour de France is now behind a pay gate if you want to watch it live in England and probably elsewhere.

I've been watching via highlights on the official YouTube channel for years. I just can't sit and watch TV that long.

I'm not sure if you can see it for free live in the US or not.

How does everyone feel about paying gating live sports events for TV? I almost dislike it because to watch it live in person, you typically have to pay a lot, and now they want you to pay to watch it at home.

What do you all think?

This is not too surprising when it comes to something as popular as the Tour De France and I did wonder how long it would take them to put it behind a paywall. With it being so popular they probably see a chance to make some good money and now of course, here we are with the paywall.

I too also tend to catch the highlights but I also knew it was available on the TV to watch if I either had the time or just to have it playing in the background.

I do hope that those who are not happy about this make a stand, it's been available free on TV for as long as I can remember so this is a shame.

Yeah, especially in the UK. I feel like there is a much larger fanbase in the UK versus the US.

I feel like the Tour folks might be digging their own grave, at that!
