This is absolutely true! There are also less serious but well-known effects of over-hydrating when it comes to performance in competitive and physical sports. Water is absolutely of course essential for our long-term (and short-term!) health and we need to drink it on a daily basis, but we also need to consider our bodies' ability to deal with all these fluids too!

That's a crucial point that I have also known for quite a long time too! As important as it is to drink water, overdoing it can cause Hyponatremia. That brings to light what you said about the liver and how it function to eliminate water from the body.

A very valid point! Indeed, taking high amounts of water can also cause what is known as water poisoning or hyponatremia, which is deadly. There should be a limit to the amount of water we take, especially during the day.
