Plot: Imprisoned in the 1940s for the double murder of his wife and her lover, upstanding banker Andy Dufresne begins a new life at the Shawshank prison, where he puts his accounting skills to work for an amoral warden. This movie is about a man named Andy who is put in prison for a crime which he did not commit. Still despite of it, Andy does not lose hope and continues to be hopeful in the heartbroken situation. The regular prisoners make friends with each other in order to make their lives little better.

This movie takes place in prison, but it is not a film about prison existence. It is about hope and friendship. Andy and Red are very close friends and they stand with each other during terrible times.
