Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
The Pianist is based on life story. It is about the fact that someone lived through it all when there seemed no hope of being alive in the first place. Poles who were living in the neighborhood of Szpilman, a Jew and they received unfair treatment from the Nazis who were the rulers of Poland before they were overtaken by Russians.

The saddest aspect of the story portrayed here in the movie is how Szpilman was reduced from a renowned pianist to living in hiding from the Nazis. He had to be tremendously cautious and he had to stay in deserted houses.

What strikes me in this move is that it is a real story. Polanski, the director of the film, tell the World War II situation in Poland. The man did a very good work in narrating Szpilman’s story. I enjoyed it and I recommend it to y’all.
