The popular music genres include reggae, hip-hop, electronic music, rock, blues, country, soul, jazz, punk and classical music. For me, the most underrated music genre is highlife which started in Ghana and spread to other parts of West Africa. It combines African rythms and western instruments. Highlife has had a great influence on Afrobeats. What genre do you think deserves more recognition?
