Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
When I saw The Return of the King, trust me that is a perfect ending to the whole series. There is some traces of the villain conflict. However the inclusion of extra scenes in the extended edition give us better insight on the character.

I admired Mr. Gollum and I think the actors in the movie played their roles so well. I The mood of the movie is okay, I liked how they have used scary song that Pippin sings when there is a big fight. I liked it when Pippin and his friend Merry were being foolish altogether

It contains suspense and when it at it, it is really creepy but it also has some comedy in it. The most exciting episode I love is the one in which pale and weak Frodo has his companion Sam in a long journey.
