Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
This is the only movie ever made based on the book "The Collector". I read the book and I was stunned by it. It's such a good psychological thriller. The movie portrayed it somewhat fine for the time it has been released, even quoting some book sentences. But it lacks many key points and views (insight) of Miranda. The dynamic duo is better covered in the book, of course, but I recommend watching the movie as well and then, if interested, read the book.

Maybe I must be under impression still, but this is one of the best thrillers I've seen.

In fact it disappoints me that good movies like this one with a good actor such as Terence Stamp and the beautiful Samantha Eggar are often not popular as other movies. This film is filled with suspense and it has a very good ending. It’s one of those films that are really difficult to predict the end. I do enjoyed it.

The Collector is a psycho film of 1965. It's about a man who abducts his schoolmate and brings her to his secret house, then takes special care of her. A real psycho worthy of remembering is Terence Stamp. In the performance one can feel the film’s realism. But to be honest, it's a very good film. It has a good plot and the acting is superb too.

The Collector is a brilliant movie that so many movies built up their success on it. A lot of people know about hundreds of movies that are similar to this one, and they don’t know about the Collector. Well, it's a great movie to watch.
