I was pondering over this idea of sports exchange in countries that has a well developed sports ecosystem.

Imagine, if we could develop a platform where institutions, merchants, clubs and players can list their sports merchandise, equipments, stadiums, spaces and even themselves and trading in each categories are permitted.

It will help in price realisations, price discovery and even better utilisation of infrastructure.

Hows the idea?

The idea is good but I don't see how it's going to be workable especially with so many sports that's going on in the developing countries. Valuation of those sports merchandise will be very difficult.
We can use the same process we use for valuation. What I understand is that there are credible registered valuer organisations that will help in this endeavour.

That's a fascinating concept. The sports exchange platform has huge potential and I think that it can transform the sporting ecosystem. A sports marketplace platform would enable better accessibility tonsports services.
Can you elaborate a little on the sports marketplace platform concept? We already have one through Amazon.in and e-commerce platforms like that.

It will really be a good idea to have a sports exchange platform. It will be a centralised marketplace which will improve efficiency and transparency. However, ensuring that regulatory requirements are met will be difficult since many countries will be involved.
I understand the concerns with regulatory issues.

But my take is, its not really a problem. We have regulated far more chaotic items in the international agenda than sports. We have done it for stock market, climate change, carbon emissions.

Its the political will that is lacking :(
